Vice President Namadi Sambo said yesterday that before the end of 2014, the power generation will reach 20,000MW of electricity.
Sambo said all was set for President Goodluck Jonathan to commence the commissioning of the power plants, even as the issue of gas availability has been resolved leaving only transmission to be tackled.
The vice president who presided over a joint meeting of the NDPHC NCP at the presidential villa, Abuja commended the management of the NDPHC for successfully completing the NIPP power plants across the country.
According to him, the way in which the management of the NDPHC handled the successful completion of the ten power plants is commendable.
