WHO: Zika Virus Seen Spreading throughout America

CCTVCCTV.com.comThe World Health Organization says the Zika virus, a mosquito-borne disease suspected of causing serious birth defects, is expected to spread to all countries in the Americas except Canada and Chile.
Zika has suspected but unproven links to microcephaly, when babies born to women infected during pregnancy have abnormally small heads. The condition is associated with incomplete brain development.
Brazil is by far the hardest hit. There, more than a million people have contracted Zika, with reports of nearly 4,000 babies born with microcephaly.
